The latest statistics reveal that the country exported a record-breaking $17 billion worth of red meat, showcasing the robustness of the sector and its importance in the global market. Mainland China remains as primary destination for Australian red meat exports, with substantial volumes of 206,193 tonnes of beef and 165,245 tonnes of lamb and mutton being imported. The growing appreciation for high-quality red meat products also contributes to the robust demand, reinforcing China’s position as the leading importer of Australian red meat.
