Austrade Australian Red Meat Road Show 2025

Strengthening Australia–China Collaboration in Red Meat

Australia continues to stand out on the global stage as a trusted supplier of beef, lamb and goat. Reputation built upon natural farming environments, advanced livestock practices and internationally recognised food safety systems. These qualities consistently set Australian Red Meat apart in world markets.

This March, the Australia Red Meat Roadshow organised by Austrade and Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) successfully connected local exporters with key buyers and distributors in China. Events were held in Chong Qing (05 March 2025) and Zhengzhou (07 March 2025).

Mastlink was honoured to be invited to the session and to have our representatives present an introduction of our company to participating buyers and partners.

Building Stronger Market Understanding

Engaging directly with Chinese buyers allowed Mastlink to gain valuable insights into on-the-ground consumer preferences, product specifications and pricing expectations across different regions. These real time discussions help refine our market positioning and support future product planning

As Chinese buyers deepen their understanding of Australian production and quality assurance, demand for Australian red meat is expected to continue rising by supporting both market need and export development.

The roadshow encourages knowledge sharing across livestock nutrition, processing technology and quality control systems. Likewise, Chinese enterprises offer valuable insights into local market adaptation and consumer trends, creating a mutual benefit exchange.

The successful completion of the Australian Red Meat Roadshow in Chongqing and Zhengzhou marks a significant milestone in strengthening bilateral cooperation. It provides the foundation for deeper collaboration in trade, technology and culinary engagement.

Mastlink is proud to play an active role in this journey. We remain committed to supporting sustainable partnerships and delivering premium Australian Red Meat to buyers across China and the world. We look forward to meeting more partners, exploring new opportunities and continuing to build the future of Australian- China red meat collaboration together.
